Well playing the same franchise games for the past 17+ years from Nintendo isn't worth the $250 to me.

Hey guess what the only thing keeping me from buying a 360 is the fact I hate xbox controller, but they make ps2 style gamepads for 360, I have been loyal to Playstation and its games for a while but if its 600 bucks then ILL STAY PS2 till they drop that crap or buy a 360 and enjoy dead rising (I love zombies). Also GT is getting boring anyway, they need to change it up its been the same for 4 generations, they just add or subtract cars and make the graphics better.

If you buy the base model you wont have HDMI which means no 1080P ever (non upgradeable).
The premium model offers HDMI so you can use 1080P but youll have to buy HDMI cables which dont come with the PS3 for another $80.

Some places are offering reserves but Gamestop now has a "You must trade us $50 of used games/systems to place a reserve for the Ps3/Wii.

I bet you could probally get $1,000-$1,100 for the $600 model, people were paying $900 for the premium Xbox 360 back in the day. I even think I remember seeing one on launch night go for $1,600.
