PS3 and XBox 360 are equals

been doing alot of reading and everything ive read says that they are equals. while the PS3 has a larger processor the 360 has more availble memory. Graphics wise they are both equals and what it comes down to is what console has more titles you want. I personally like the 360's titles more and the future titles are going to be way better. I'm a ps fan and like titles like the FF series and the GT series BUT thats not enough to justife buying the PS3 specialy with the huge price tag on the console and with talk of having to pay for cars and courses on the new GT i really am turned off to this console. I also personally like the 360 controllers way better. I mean the PS, PS2 and PS3 HAVE THE SAME ANNOYING GAY CONTROLLER that hasnt changed in design ever! Just thought id share my opinions.

you're crazy. The Playstation controller is awesome. Sony isn't dumb. If this wasn't the case and no one liked it, it would have changed by now.

It says something when a system's controller has been unchanged in over a decade. What other system can say that? (don't say xbox, because they changed their's because the original was dumb.)

As far as 360 vs. PS3, PS3 wins already for me. Xbox never had enough titles that I cared about. PS1 and PS2 have tons of games that have immense replay value for me. I expect the same from PS3

ps3 is lame that they copied nintendo with the motion sensor in nintendo (not like nintendo isn't used to it, theyve been copied over and over the years), but i have to agree out of these 2 listed here, the ps3 wins. comon, a bigger badder socom? what else can be better?

is the PS3 backwards compatible? If so,that's a good thing,popping in the OG Gran Turismo and laffing at the graphics compared to GTT4 is always fun. Plus 1JZ is right,the PS controller is best,simple,easy to use and unchanged for years. It is a good concept,why change?
Besides,the XBox has me always looking at the dam controller to remember which button does what. Too many I say.

yeah i think i might not even get any of the next gens until prices are cheap as hell. Only reason i bought a ps2 was because i got my slimline for 50 bucks from some stoner kid.

I got mine back during the shortage. It was hard... I still have my original PS2 too. Lot of people said their originals broke, but I think they just didn't take care of them well... I've never had a system fail on me. All of mine still work (NES, Genesis, all my gameboys, N64, PS1, PS2)

Funny story... My fan stopped working because I was carrying it in a box and the bottom fell out. System would overheat in a few minutes. I put it on my window sill so the breeze would cool it. Actually worked... but the wind blew it off one day and the fan was knocked back into place. Still works fine to this day...

How's that for durability

my friends lasers all burnt out. it was a problem on at least half of the systems. you got lucky i suppose :icon_razz
As for me, i still have my atari 2600 some where here, NES, SNES, Original Gameboy, ps1, ps2, jaguar, sega genesis, sega cd, n64, lynx, and gamegear all somewhere aroudn here and they all work. Oh my gamecubes lasers burnt out, but thats because i kno what my problem was... we played super smash bros on day for 27 hours straight, even warped the disc :rofl:

Strange... I still think alot of failure was user error. I don't know anyone with a PS2 that failed on them without anything they did. and almost everyone I know has a PS2. If I saw a broken one, it was either dropped, used somewhere with poor air circulation, or just really really dusty. All of the new gen systems since PS2 have been kinda finicky. Everyone thinks they can play football with their consoles and expect them to work still like it was an SNES or genesis or something...

The Gamecube is pretty durable. I saw on G4 where they put the Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube through a torture test. The Gamecube came out victorious.

i was really disappointed with the system overall, especially since they promised online play but never saw it through... i love my online play..
