You've got to have something pulling the juice out of the battery. You've got a short somewhere.

The 7m isn't exactly hated. There are numerous debates on the reliability of the 7m, but the ones that love it swear by it and the ones that love the jz motors make fun of it. The 7m when built properly is a good motor. I've had one and it is a torque monster. I prefer the jz motors, but I don't dislike the 7m.

thanks for the tip any idea where to start
and whats the j motors high points

I'm not that good with electrical systems. Just make sure you don't have any loose connections or faulty wiring anywhere. Make sure the alternator is hooked up good also.

The jz series engines supposedly have newer and better engineering. I'm not going to say definately because I don't want to start a flame war. I'll just leave it for you to do some research on. There are hundreds of threads about this topic all over supra web sites everywhere.

If I were you, I'd stick with the 7m for a while and see how you like it. JZ swaps are pretty expensive. You'll spend anywhere from $3000.00 - 9000.00 on one depending on what you do. I spent about $8500.00 on mine.

check the battery voltage whille its running with all elec ascesories on make shure your voltage is above 12 v with ascesories of should have more like 14v also do a voltage drop test disconect the positive and put a meeter lead on the pos post and on the positive cable and se how many amps you draw should be less than .1v if not start pulling fuses and whatever one makes the draw drop is the bad guy could be something as simple as a cigaret lighter or clock shorted out hope this helps
