Goodyear actually sells hose springs. They're expensive too. I chuckle every time I see one. No properly sized run of the mill spring (preferably stainless) would ever work ;)

JTG: The spring will get you going but it isn't going to work if you have a restriction so be sure the suction screen is clean. I know you said it was but...

Buy the right hose as soon as you can. If you want to avoid future grief clean everything, flush the system, and refill with synthetic Dexron III or V. Add a Magnefine filter in the return line too: http://tinyurl.com/yed4wx

I come from a land down under
I buy mine at a local hydraulics place it's just their multipurpose hose and works fine.

I got scared off buying hose at Toyota when I was quoted $70 aud for the 2 little vacc hoses that go to the Charcoal cannister and it's purge line......

I bought 6 meters for $20.

SO update just in case some others are having issues... i finally had to take it to a shop ( not enough time or expertise to diagnose the issue) they replaced the pump and had the new hoses connected... still didnt work so its not the pump... they think its the rack so... new rack is going on ( and should be done:biglaugh: ) so i will let everyone know if the issue was the rack so others dont have to go through all the crap i went through to figure it out.
