i have a 1989 supra turbo targa if that means anything.

my passenger side window will not go up or down. i purchased another window motor for it and have no clue how to install it. ive got the door panel off and its becoming a PITA to get that thing out and put the new one in withouth removing the actual steel inner door skin. im pretty sure it might just be the motor or something of the like.

are they run on fuses?

the window is also stuck about an inch down from fully closed so when it rains, i have to cram towels in it to keep it from owning my interior...

any help from anyone with similar problems or if uve fixed the window before would be greatly appreciated...

pull both switches apart, CAREFULLY. Scrape the black deposits off the contact parts. Put the switches back together again. test.

What he said. I had the same issue with my passenger window. Cleaned the pass window switch and corrected problem. Sit down with the switch at the kitchen table and take your time. I found an emery board works great for cleaning the contacts.

EDIT: Just a side note. If the pass switch does not work it "may" not allow the drv master switch to operate the pass window either. So Guys, don't assume the motor is bad if neither switch will operate the window.

My passenger window switch doesn't work, but I can still roll it up or down on the driver's side...
