Power steering

So I got my car aligned and about two weeks later the steering starts getting stiff at times doesn't matter cold or hot I'm unfamiliar with what usually goes on these pump/rack etc it's a 87 supra any input is great thanks

uh fluid? check your hoses?

Do you have fluid in the PS reservoir? Any noise from the power steering pump? The PS reservoir has a screen inside that becomes clogged and the pump will starve for fluid.

No noises no leaks a fluid is full when I first got the car it had a leak that went dry on the guy a couple times

BTW, ONLY use atf. you use that multi shit and your going to have to flush it.

after the line was fixed it hasnt leaked a drop in 2 years and only atf went in and the belt isnt slipping either nothing obvious points to any specific thing my first guess would be the pump i just wanted to see if anyone had sim problems or if the steering on these things is bullet proof and i have a freak lol

How do I tell the difference

Check for wires going to the rack.

look in the steering reservoir you should be able to see the atf flowing rather rapidly and pinch the presser line returning from rack to reservoir, it should build up presser until you cant hold it any more.

ok i got under my car and there isnt any wires going to or from the rack ???
