Power steering pump identification

I've been looking to buy a new power steering pump with lines and a resivior, but the dealer wants to know "which one I have". I didn't know this, but aparently there was more than one type of powersteering pump for my supra (92 NA). How do I know which one I have, or is this person full of __it?

There's a progressive power steering system, and a regular power steering system. The pumps are (apparently) different. Some of the lines are definately different.

Maybe you can help me too... when you're at the dealer, can you ask for the part numbers of the two rubber sections that are part of the return line that goes from the steering rack to the cooler pipe. That's the hose right above the one labelled 44410, and the one behind 44348A. Neither have numbers on the diagram.

Pully size is a big giveaway for the pumps

I'd be interested to know if there's a link between Turbo/NA and PPS/noPPS. Also which year (if any) it became standard. I understand it was first introduced in 89. Jeff ?

To the best of my knowledge, all turbos 89+ came standard with PPS. PPS was an option on the NA's. For example my 89 turbo (built Nov 88) had PPS, while my 92 NA does not.
