Hi guys, I've owned my supra for a little more than a year and have yet to fix the stupid power lock issue. OK, Everything works to unlock the doors. The switches are able to unlock the doors from the inside and i can do it by the key also. The problem is locking the doors. I can't use the switches or the key to lock the doors. I've tried swapping the driver's side switch and nothing. Is this a switch issue or what? where should i start?

Most likely a linkage is binding up or bent. If it's bent they can be hell to tweak back so they're "just right", just be patient.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I know what you're saying but i dont even hear the regulator clicking as if its trying to unlock it. same goes for both doors.

Try lubricating the joints - everything from the actuator to the locks - before anything else.

Hey, thanks for posting. I mean i dont even hear the actuator click when trying to lock it.

Sorry dude, I misread that - not that lubing the contact points is a bad idea, but it's rather unlikely to help this problem if you're not getting any signal to the actuator.

Okay, I misunderstood. I thought you meant that using the key wouldn't even lock the door you're using it in. So when you go to lock the driver's side door it locks, but the passenger side doesn't?
