yes i know i have to ditch the scarf. this is in mountain high, its about one hour away from LA. there was at least 6-10 inches of new snow up there, the thing that sucked the most was the fact that the whole city had a power outage. they closed the park early, VERY EARLY. i only went up once before they closed.

im.. going back tomorrow.

I always wanted to snowboard....how hard is it to learn?

I hate you guys. I've been living in FL for 3 years now... I miss snowboarding.

But It's been 70-80 degrees all winter win.

Id recommend a lesson for your first time. I had my cousin and uncle teach me as they took a lesson.
I went up to Lake Placid this past christmas it was awesome! I'll have to dig up some pics later

if you're a first timer, i suggest you buy some nice butt pads and go to the sloppiest part of the mountain and just fall. its a great way to learn :biglaugh: srsly

Sounds like you're giving drinking advice

IMO the best way to learn is to be drunk. That way when you fall down, it doesn't hurt as bad. AND, if you can manage to stay up drunk, the next time you're out when you're sober, you'll be amazed how much better you are!

If thats not your thing though.. def get lessons. and be prepared to fall on your ass a lot. A LOT. Everyone goes through it, its a right of passage.

Yea? I'm might have to go to Colorado this December in attempt to pick up snow boarding...that's if I don't decide to go abroad.

Its a lot easier to learn to board after you've been a skier all your life. You completely lose the fear of going too fast, which at first is not a good thing. I'll post some pics later, I've done a couple solid trips through the Alberta and BC rockies this year. Good snow and some great steeps (Kickinghorse > all)
