polished stock ct-26 housing

i figured since the valve covers looked good after grinding off the ridges and polishing, i would do the same to the turbo. i ground off all the lettering on the turbo and polished it too. this turned out very nice imho

I like the Toyota CT26. It makes people think it's stock... They can't see the 62-1 wheel inside :biglaugh:

ty.. next on the list is the factory heat shield, it's made from crappy potmetal with alot of impurities, but i'll give it a shot anyways :biglaugh:

6" 3m radial 50 grit (green) disk -- these are actually made for jewelers, but work amazing on any type of soft metal, then 220 silicon carbide sandpaper on an orbital to smooth everything out, then the 3m disk again, then dremel everything out with a 180 grit abrassive disk, hand polish with 400-800-1000then polish with bench buffer and hard metal compound, then soft metal compound, then stick it in the parts washer to get off all the shavings and polish it with a white rouge and viola... mirror finish


<edit> sometimes i use wenol to do the final polish, but this new white rouge i got friday, does a better job

i done 2 of thosu befor but i removed the lumps on ti so it nice shiney and smooth plsu ti doe snto look stock at all
