Yeah...I searched....lol

anyways...

anyone on here have any experience with this particular unit? If it works like they say it does, I'd really like to get it, but I'm stuck on one thing... They say it has a 0-1V narrowband output that you can run to your ECU so the car still thinks it has the normal 02 sensor in it. I'm concerned with how well this works. If it works just fine, then I'm sold, but if people have had problems with it, I'd like to hear about them. I'm not looking for people to tell me I'm an idiot for want to go with this particular product, I'd just like to hear some experiences with it and how well it works with the 7M...

I'd prefer not to have to weld another bung in my DP for another sensor. but if I do, I will go ahead and weld on my EGT bung that I can never seem to get around to doing.

I value your opinions....if it works, wonderful...if it's a piece of junk, or the narrowband simulation doesn't work too well, then I'll know what I need to do.

I expect this should work - even if it won't, there is still two companies that make a similar product that will work for sure.

Zeitronics ZT2 is being used by several members in this type of configuration.

Tech Edge 2A0 will work as well, and is even more flexible, allowing you to modify the lookup table that is used to simulate the narrowband output.

how many different narrowband outputs are there? I thought they were all pretty much just a 0-1 volt scale and pretty much all the same.... great, now I'm confused...lol...so how do I go about finding out if the PLX wideband will send a usable/correct output signal to the ECU?

I have the M300

I tried the narrow band thing last year and I didnt have much luck but I think my ECU was messed up.

I am not sure if the 500 is differant but on the instructions for the M300 it said to hook up a resistor to the narrow band, Mabey I didnt do that right... I dunno

I am going to try mine again this year and see what happens. I am happy with PLX overall so I dont think you can go wrong....

Good Luck,

I have that particular unit and works fine...there are a lot of guys running the ZT-2 as well, but I like the PLX just fine. I'm not using the narrow band input right now. But I'm thinking of switching it over this summer.

Our computer is looking for 0-5V

I am running the ZT2 but left the stock o2 and put my wideband in my highflow cat.

sorry, i have to back track here. our ecu outputs 0-5v, signal VF, depending on the signal it gets from the o2 sensor, signal OX. I can't yet find the voltage reference for the OX signal.
as far as i can tell it is 0 or more than zero. If that is the case then that narrow band input should work :dunno:

The m-500 is cool, the software works well, and the wireless has decent range. The narrowband does not work well for the supra, it's not a plug and play affair to get rid of the stock sensor. The voltage is inverse of what the car wants and you need to create a o2 heater simulator. Seeing as how you should not put the sensor in the stock location (much too hot) it's easier to just leave the stock sensor in.
