I just thought people thinking of upgrading their turbos might want to see the difference between stock and the 57 trim. This was done by Driftmotion.

so what exactly is the difference? do they just change the size of the opening?is the turbine changed?

The turbines are bigger, front and back. I can take a pic of the back if anyone wants it.

Someone used to make steel braided oil lines for the ct, does anyone still make that?

I'm not 100% sure as I'm waiting for mine to come back but I don't think the exhaust turbine is touched unless you get it cliped.

Its just the compressor side that is changed and the housing bored out. Basically everything you see different in the pictures above.

For the 89 model year, Toyota redid the actuator and set up for faster spool.

Which one is the 89? I've had a few Ct's on my car and I forget what my original looked like.

very good pictures. The ct26 can be worked to get some good numbers but nothing too crazy. Basic mods will make for a very street worthy car.
