Ordering rims. Need Tires.

Hey guys I'm ordering some Enkei RPF1's that are 17x8 but I now need to decide on whats the best fit for tires on these rims. I'm not going for the stretched tire look. Would 245/35/R17 work okay on these rims?

Anybody else out there running 17x8's with on their mkiii? Most of the one I see are 18s.

a 35 series tire???? why?
if your going to a 17'' rim then a 40 would be the correct, but i ran a 45 and it was the same...

i had 17''s and i didnt like them, for the ride sacrafice i couldnt stand it, so i sold the rims and tires and went back to stock blades as they were only 3lbs heaver each than the 5-zigen setup i was running. and a 235/245 tire would look good. more so the 235.

and why not go something larger in the rear? 8.5, 9, 9.5...?

get wider we arent evo's here! i have 18x8.5 in front 18x9.5 in rear

Id go with 245/40/17 for 17x8" wheels. I had 245's on my oil supra with 17x8"s and the tires were perfectly flush. Great fit and no bulge but no stretching.

You said 40 would be correct? Okay thanks. I assume your saying that is correct with the 245 width right?
I'm keeping the tires the same right now because the deal I am getting is any 4 tires the SAME size and brand for 40% off.
Also I would go with wider in the rear but when it comes down to rotating them that might not work out to well. Plus Im N/A so its not like traction is a problem right now.
Maybe after my swap wider would be needed but not right now.
