yea, they're all expensive.. I make my own. Or go you a local shop that can weld and they'll build you a full turbo back for the price of the premade ones.

fwiw for 500$ i have a full vbanded 4" SS exhaust...

^^ True but I've had that done on both my mk3's and while cheaper, im not always impressed with the quality (I dont think muffler shop exhausts are as pretty looking most of the time) and the way they route it could be different than premade exhausts. I just got a new downpipe and it wont bolt up because of how the front end of the catback is angled :icon_mad: . Im thinking about getting an RSR at the moment....dunno. I also couldnt get much less than $450 for just a catback at shops around me and ive checked quite a few.

i don't care if the other mkiii exhaust are more expensive. its not a GREAT price just cause its a little cheaper. don't get me wrong, i love it, but its just crazy how much they charge for an exhaust system. it probably costs them $150-$175 to make and ship. Oh well, its still the best sounding exhaust out there. it acctually ressonates less than my old 3" exhaust

Something that really shocked me with this exhaust system?

If you buy JUST the catback, it has a very nice and reasonably quiet sound in cabin, but is still loud.

Get a downpipe to go along with it? This thing now wakes up to sound like a COMPLETELY different car at ALL RPM ranges. I sh*t you not, completely changes the sound from stock DP to aftermarket 3"+ DP with this exhaust.
I hate making this reference, but it's shockingly similar to the way a 4" sounds on a MKIV, but raspier.

With these two, get rid of your cat for a testpipe? You still wouldn't believe how much louder it gets just from a test pipe. My '88 sounds like absolute sex. It turns heads, but keeps cops busy doing their own thing without worries...and has a different tone at every possible rpm range.

I personally like the angle out the back. It's the STRAIGHEST mass-produced exhaust made for the MKIII...and it certainly wakes up a stock MA70 Supra.

FYI, the RSR is 3.2" not 3". I know it doesn't make much difference, but it is the absolute straightest you can buy off the shelf with the sexiest sound a MKIII can produce. Of course that is just my opinion.

/me trys to dig up kakimoto info...

I could swear it was the straightest out there...

just saw their site, and the exhaust they offer seems similar in design to the rs*r gt2. Unsure as to flow characteristics/sound, but i do know that the rs*r is 475 while the kaki is running around 800 bucks.

kakimoto was VERY rare over here (only heard of a handfull of em) and are on much the same level as ARC (quality, rarity, and production)

the few pics I saw of them where extremely straight and didn't stick out as far as the RSR IIRC...

Im really considering getting an RSR. I kinda want to see a good video of one in action. Anyone? I've seen a few but sometimes sound quality is suspect because of the camera used etc so its hard to tell.
