im starting my slow build but still trying to do everything right and not cheap out on the parts.so i am buying things little by little til i get a majority of the stuff. first thing i am looking to get is the turbo. i am thinking of going with the gt3582r. just wondering what everybodys opinion is on this turbo and what you guys would suggest for the a/r. im not building a high rev motor but plan on running low to mid 20s for boost. so i was thinking about the .82 a/r.

What are your HP goals and what kind of spool time do you want and what is your primary purpose of this vehicle....ie DD, track only, drift...etc

sry i should have included that in the original post. i want to shoot for about 500 its not daily driven but would like it to be kinda reliable its a fair weather vehicle, and will probably see the 1/4 mile a few times. would like to keep the spool time fairly low but i know you got to give a little for more horsepower.

You may want to consider driftmotions 60-1 in your case. I don't know exactly how it compares with the gt35 but its a reliable turbo with very quick spool, stick with a .68/.70 A/R whatever they offer and it will be very quick; im saying smaller AR because you said you're not really looking to REV high so you will take more advantage of the power band at lower RPM vs. .8x. Or even if you want room to grow the T66, this size will affect "streetability" though compared to the 60-1.

(BTW, i have an unused T4 mani and 50mm WG i could sell you cheap ;), i decided to go a different route )

.82ar and really good tires, don't believe me take a look at some of the "Trac" vids in my link that's on 285's with a 1.06ar. ;)

what are you reving the motor to in the dyno runs? the 22psi pull dubbed "blowout cured" is fuckin sweet!!!
