I have now learned that cheap paint adheres better to the trim, wheel wells, suspension and lights than the body panels. I have tried all types of solvents to clean off the overspray and found the only three options are A. use sandpaper or utility knife and scrape the paint off B. use a rattle can and paint everything black or C. (which is what I have done) locate a donor car at the local Pic-N-Pull and take all of the trim, door seals, mud flaps etc.

ALSO If the guy you are going to buy the car from says his favorite movie is Tokyo Drift check the cars suspension! I ended up replacing the LR lower control arm. Fortunately no frame damage and the car aligned easily.

yep. this is one of the many reasons why i feel bad for people when they spend 700 dollars on a paint job and think they got a good deal. i'd rather drive around in a busted up car then spend 700 bux to "paint" it.

Amen to that!

The body was straight and the previous owner just wanted a color change right before the head gasket failed and the car "failed to proceed"
