It'll look better and be worse for performance. Most people on this forum are performance oriented people, so that is why it hasn't been done, but go for it if you want. It's your choice, but not necessarily a good one.

Is it even worth the trouble?
Your AFM would need to be moved over there, that means jacking with the wiring.
And do you even have room for the AFM + a good air cleaner.
Maybe only by moving the battery......
And to go through all that work on a stock manifold, I just don't see it personally.

Now if you went to one of the nice custom manifolds, to take a larger throttle, and.......
go with a MAP-ECU, so you can dump the stock AFM,
and move the battery to the back so that you can run a big filter,
then it may be worth it.

Personally, I don't put much value in the ACIS system, after all the Cressida didn't even have it.
I gutted mine, plugged the holes, and never looked back......

Cressida = family car
Supra = performance car

Much like the SBC was in everything but the family cars had half the power...

ghetto as hell. Could work but looks like a aluminum turd.

Doesn't look quite that good ;)

As for how well it would work, you'd have to use 50% pedal for the same gross airflow so cruise instead of being 13% would be 7.5%, it would be like a quick action throttle on a dirt bike.

At 50% you'd have the same airflow as a normal GE at 100% (and I seriously doubt a GE outflows even the stock TB)

Half the power?
The GEs had the same power in both cars.
I think it was more to help the Supra NA people with manuals cope with the marginal power of the GE at lower rpm.
The Cressida never came with a manual over here,
so Toyota didn't worry about a dumb ass driver stalling the engine,
and the Cressida GE came with the turbo manifold (that cost less).

It would have been cheaper to use the GTE manifold as you mentioned, so why would it be added unless it helped performance in some way?

It's the same crap with the NA cam "upgrade"...

The tropical island....
Hi my ears tell me someone talking about my ffim

1. I made this ffim as an upgrade for my turbo engine and with zero budget with the resources i had at hand

to the op i dont think the extra volume will help the engine without the suporting mods and a very good tune

pm if u have any other questions :biglaugh:
