well since i put the topic as oil..i have another question..it might not been hard for you guys but it was hard for me..i was changing my oil and i cant get that oil filter out!!! do you knoe any easy way to get it out?? its bothering me like hell

Defintely a filter cap wrench with a 6" extension attached to a 3" extension. I think the subframe is in the way if you go with a straight foot long.

Also to effectively get the filter out, you might have to twist your arm in by the dp/precat to get it out. I know on mine I do.

I have a oil filter relocation kit forsale. you could use a bigger oil filter. and mount it anyway in the engine bay. :)

Or use a wobble extension...or a swivel head adapter. oooooh the possibilities. I could almost fill one of my roll-away's drawers with "Supra oil filter" tools.

also, look into a filter claw. It tightens on the filter as you turn the ratchet...more useful than a filter cup, and it will never round out.


as for the original post, I used a shop vac. You could also wrap a rag around a screwdriver. The culprit is either the cam cover gaskets, or the plug valley thingy. In my case, it was the plug valley thing. iirc it was 30 bucks at elmhurst...
