RTV Black is a silicone gasket sealant with high heat and oil resistance. You can get it at every major auto store, usually the brand is permatex ultra black. I not sure if there is a way to get the pan off without lifting the engine out of the bay. There may be a simpler way, but I need to get back under the car before I can verify or dismiss that notion. The gasket itself is simple to remove, all you need is a chisel or a paint scraper. Putting the ultra black on is just as easy.ebang said:""One fix you could possibly do right now is replace the oil pan gasket with some RTV Black, it works much better""
what is RTV Black?...how hard is it to replace the gasket?

If not, well, the method mentioned by Jervis McStabby(lol, I love that name, snicker every time I see it) will work quite well for you.
Original Poster: My advice to you is to pull the head, get a valve job done, clean EVERYTHING(best degreaser I've found is "Solvs-it." It's a commercial degreaser for resturants, costs $10 a gal., and works better than anything I've tried to date), install all new gaskets, cam and crank seals, and the rest of the stuff I mentioned earlier, and torque the head bolts to 70+ ft. lbs.
Most Supra owners wind up doing this sooner or later anyway... might as well get it outta the way.
