That is a lot of cash, since I'm paying for these with my tax money and duck killing can I get a ride in one for free?

Wish I could man! It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on :naughty:

But I'll tell ya...everyone I've seen get a ride that's never done hi-performance jets has gotten...ummm lets say...a little nauseous. Actually that's a lie...they usually fill up a couple of bags :puke:

Would it be more fun if I did it naked?

I had a video somewhere of a guy flying with the Blue Angels and they go to 7.5 G's and the guy passes out at like 7.

Im pretty good at keeping my lunch but then again Ive never been in something that can do stuff like that.

Found it:

I live a few miles from Travis AFB so we get airshows fairly often. Ive seen both the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds fly and they are awesome.

Yeah...that's a good video...pretty accurate too. The other "side effect" for a noob like that is passing out from the G's...they give you a quick training course on it, but it happens just about every time.

Flying naked remined me...a F-16 crashed in west TX because the pilot unstrapped the seat belt to take a wiz in a piddle pack. The buckle got stuck between the side stick (it only moves 1/4") and the seat...when he moved the seat up, it commanded full aileron causing the airplane to roll at full rate...540 deg a second. He punched out and came floating down with his package dangling in the breeze...it would be pretty damn funny if it wasn't so stupid.

It would be worth it.
No matter how many bags I fill up.

I always asked if they liked it...answer is always yes. Ask if they want to do it again...answer is always no ;)

Oh man...I remember that soooo well. I went through the centrifuge at Holloman AFB...the last profile in that thing took me up to 9.0 G (the best these guys did was 5.5-6.0). You should see my tape...pretty damn funny too. The capillarity's in my butt and upper back of my legs popped, making my backside one big bruise!

JDub: A few years back I did 30 mins aerobatic in a P51D and no way known would I hold my hand up for time in a modern Jet! ;)

Wow!!! I would absolutely love to get a ride in a P-51...IJ that was a once in a lifetime event man!
Bet ya could just feel the raw power of that Merlin ;)

My father-in-law was in the Army during the Korean war and they were still using P-51's for close air support assisting the Army. He told me a P-51 coming over low and fast sounded like a grizzly bear was on top of ya about to take you apart!

Dub: It was a blast they'd just got it back from a major overhaul and my pilot was ex RAAF Roulette (our version of the BA's).

At the start of the flight I told them "here's some extra $$$ I don't care if it = more time or more full throttle" He didn't disapoint!
