o-ring AN fitting?

Can I use a regular 10an fitting with an o-ring in place of a 10an o-ring fitting?
This is for my oil cooling system and i don't want any hiccups.

If you don't want any hiccups, why use mismatched fittings? I think you already know the answer to this question

No, go buy a -10 o-ring fitting. It has a bevel in it to seat the o ring. If you know someone with a lathe, they can put a bevel in the -10 you have now.
