new motor questions

have a couple of questions......

i am purchasing a newer motor for my 86.5 supra. my current motor is starting to knock so im looking for motors..... i came accross one that was pulled out of a supra. the guy didnt know how many miles the supra had, but did a compression test and all the cylinders were about 150 psi......is there a way to guess the milage on it? by the way, getting it for 500 bucks and having it installed for 400.......900 for a newer motor put in isnt bad......i just dont have tim eto do it myself....

Yeah, that's about normal. Doubt you could guess mileage. Make sure you/your mechanic torques the HG down right, since it's just a GE I don't see a reason to get a stronger gasket. 72 ft/lbs IIRC
