need someone to weld my diff

i have one lol. i wanna see how a welded diff feels. can anyone near me weld diffs?? thanks

oh yeah other than looking at the only lsd oil sticker, how can you tell if its an lsd or open?

Curious why do you want to feel what a welded diff feels like? Its not good for road racing. Only for drifting when all you want to do is spin tires.

ahh sorry i should have clarified, the diff is in the junkyard, no driveshaft anymore, no sticker, on a turbo car. there's no other way to figure it out?

oh and im not planning on driving my supra daily, want to make it into a track dedicated car =/

Or the wheels and watch which way the other wheel spins. Junkyard cars are usually off the ground already. ;)

welded is a waste of time. the lsd is designed where if there is to much traction/diff bind it will let go to avoid breaking something. also alot of tracks now wont let welded diffs on the track, as its a saftey hazard if something breaks, as it can catapult the car in an IRS setup.

as for feel, a LSD/posi had same feel as welded in a stright line. in a 4x4 welded diffs are ok, as your going all over 10mph max on soft ground. for street they suck.

but there are 2 way to weld a diff

You can try on socalsupras. Or go to a welding shop and ask them too.

Just weld the spider gears together.
