I have fought the idle on my car for a long time. I did recently have it idling correctly, but that only happened for a few days, and now it has reverted to idling high again. I just took my throttle body off, and decided that I needed to be absolutly sure that it is fully closed. Nothing I can adjust seems to be perfect. With a flashlight shining through from the back, I can always see light. How do I get it fully closed?

It may not be able to *fully* close and on those that can it's often bad to set them like that because of sticking. Nor will it being slightly open effect much. Put another way unless it's open a lot your idle problem is unrelated.

Thanks! Being that most new problems are caused by something we did, I assumed it would either be related to throttle position or TPS. I will have to get a battery for my multimeter, and recheck that before I put this thing back on.
