Hi:
My name is Jeff Koch, and I am Hemmings Sports and Exotics magazine's West Coast writer/photographer. (If you get the mag, you've possibly seen the white '85 Mk II that ran just a few months back.) My boss has charged me with finding some more Supras for the magazine, and I'm hoping that you can help! I am looking for the following cars to photograph:
- Clean, original (or restored), unmodified Mk I Supra, for a Drive Report. Six color pages in the magazine. My boss has a particular fascination with this car, so he's hot for me to do one.
- Clean, original (or restored), unmodified Mk III Turbo Supra, for a comparison (with a car I'm also still searching for--FC3S RX7 turbo, 300ZX Turbo and Porsche 944 Turbo are the most likely candidates). This will also run six color pages in the magazine.
When I say original, I'm talking down to the wheels, paint color, seats and stereo. No yellow plug wires or underhood chrome either. Restored is fine also, assuming it's been restored to factory-original.
Since I'm based in Southern California, I'm travel-limited to a roughly two-hour driving radius from me--San Diego, Palm Springs, and up the Central Coast to about Buellton. Our
main office is in the state of Vermont, and they regularly travel to upstate New York, Boston, and occasionally the New York Metropolitan area, so a location in New England and the Northeast has potential too. Anything further than that and I'm sorry to say the odds of us doing it drop dramatically.
