need a little help

i don't have photoshop and i tried to do this in paint already and...well...i suck at it so it came out really really really bad.

i want to get the bumper on this blue car but i want to see what it would look like painted silver like my car below.

can anyone help me out. i know it's a time consuming.
or can anyone give me some pointers on how to do it in photoshop. i'm going to see about getting myself a copy soon.

i went and picked up a copy of photoshop at Fry's today so i'm going to give it a shot later.

ok...i sort of figured out how to play with the colors.
i'm having a real tough time getting the car that correct silver but i managed to get it this sort of cool gunmetal color. :icon_bigg

what do you guys think?

if that was your 1st time using photoshop, then i say you're a prodigy...

took me 4 hours to change the color and slap a bumper on a GS300 my 1st time using photoshop...

came out shitty, too..

i've played with photoshop on friends computers maybe 3-4 times before. it took me like an hour and half or so of playing around with it to get that gunmetal color.
i still can't figure it out how to make it silver like my car.
i guess i'll spend some time reading the book for it.
