well im going na-t in my turbo mk3 and it seems to be easier to use a w58 tranny..would it a bad i dea to sell my r154 and just buy a w58 to make my life easier? or should i stick with the r154..i only plan on making 500..maybe 550 and what power is the w58 good for? thanks in advanced jeremy

no problem just wondering because the 2jz w58 bell housings and flywheels are a dime a dozen in the junkyard up here also thanks for the input ill just wait it out for the 1jz bellhousing and flywheel

The w58 that came in my 88 was able to handle a little under 400hp after the motor swap. This lasted over two years and that's with a lot of rolling pulls up to 125. The swap was done by F&H when they were still in NY. The right clutch and fluid will let you run this trans no problem. It's easier to find a w58 than a good r154. Spend your money on a good clutch set up.

drift motion has the best price on bell housing
and as far as fly wheel ebay think i saw a stock 2jzgte fly wheel for 200 buck

thanks for the info guys! im working on selling my 7m so i can buy the bellhousing and flywheel!

I am completely satisfied with the performance on my W58 with my 2JZGE-T swap. I agree with the low cost factor. and ease to find bell housings. I have yet to see a w58 blown by a boosted motor with a driver that knows what he is doing on the street :)
