Well my clip has finally arived today - Oct-20-2006
I will have some pictures up at some point
My plan at this time is just to get a basic setup it and maybe a few little things like a Koyo rad and posibly a Y-Pipe.
Something i did not realize when i looked at the clip before, but the Cruise control has been removed and i am not sure if some things might be missing then. Let hope not
Also the little vavle next to what looks like the BOV is broken
i am going to look into replacing it with a aftermarket one like the HKS SSQV in the same spot if posible.
I am a little rushed in doing this install since i need the car back up and running again.so i wont be able to take my sweet time.
I am doing this on my own at the moment. I am not the best person with wiring so this should be fun...LOL
added info: Oct-21-2006
Well some info about the clip. I know the engine is a 1st gen 1JZ so my guess is my clip is of an 89 posibly a early 90. It has the MOMO steering wheel that came with it and the bilstien shocks, from the 2.5 twin turbo R. I have realized that the car was not one originally. There is no cruise control on the steering collom. meaning to me. That is was on the steering wheel but no more.
The clip has 55,000 KM on it i think thats about 35,000 Miles. all the intake piping is dry as a bone. No oil residue whats so ever
I have alreay taken a few things apart just in the excitment of getting the clip but the documentation will be gin today\
i also have switched out the Tach from the 1J to my gauge cluster. From what i have read i think it should work. I did have to exchange the clear plaster it was attached to for the back light. It better work since i broke my original tach in doing this. It was my mistake. you can do it with out breaking anything.
It was pretty strait forward. Thier are just allot of screws to keep track of where they go since it's all plastic and you dont want to put a screw back into a different hole. I did connect the three screws on one side at the back. On the other side of the tach though. You can not attached both screws through the copper holes since the 1J tach uses different holes only one lines up. I attached that one as well thinking i would need it. Lets hope so.
at the end of everything i will compile all the steps i took and info in a more orginized fasion so that it is easy to read and undersand.
