"Mud" in new radiator?

I went out to my car to finally finish installing my FFIM, it had been sitting for about 5 weeks waiting on parts, prior to that drove "fine", (still working on a tune)

anyway while pulling parts for the FFIM I started to drain my radiator, what came out was "black muddy water" if it had been reddish/brown i wouldn't be worried. the bit the splashed on me dried just like mud. it didn't have an oily feel but honestly I can't think of what it would be. its an aftermarket Aluminum radiator. the engine was cleaned prior to assembly head and block were decked prepped for a 2.0 mm MHG ARP head studs. I've got maybe 10hrs total run time on the new engine between tuning and some drives around the neighborhood. I was using tap water from the outside hose until I had the engine dialed in, only thing I could think of. Every other time that I had to pull the radiator and I drained it, water would either come out rust colored or clear. this is the first time i've had this black muddy water.

Thoughts/comments thanks

Check for stray current in the coolant.

Thanks for the pointer IJ, I went ahead and looked up how to conduct the test. However, it'll have to wait until I've got it all put back together. Other food for thought. While the vehicle was sitting, for those 5 weeks, there was no battery in the car. Could this have been a pre-existing condition that just worsened by sitting?
