No...route the hose to the fender well. You don't want fuel vapor around hot parts...like turbos or exhaust manifolds ;)

charcoal canister is EVAP system

if you really want to get rid of it i would say to get a vented gas cap which is a problem if you have to do emissions unlesss you have a spare or drill a hole =/
Thanks..Yea..me being an idiot just remembered this site has a search function and i found like 9000 threads on removing the CC. My line is cracked going to the CC and my JDM motor has no BVSV and the one on my old motor is broken. And i do not have emissions here yet :chicken:

personally i would take the line off at the tank and do the gas cap thing as even if you go through your firewall you will still smell gas (at least it has for me in the past, now i just keep the emissions stuff in as it doesnt bug me.. even bought the charcoal canister for my 2jz heh)

Why would you have to go through the firewall? The hardline is already there...the one that leads to the CC from the tank. All you have to do is get some vac line and vent to the wheel well.

If you drill the cap, I wouldn't fill the tank all the way...especially the next day after a cool evening ;)

A better solution is to get a 1J CC, mount it in the aft wheel well, and route the hoses to it.

Expansion. Btw, when the tank is vented it no longer runs at the designed 2 psi accomplished by the valving in the evap cannister. It was done that way for a reason. I'll let you figure out why.
So what did they do about this positive pressure in Japan? Like i said my JDM motor doesnt have a BVSV on it or even a port for it. They had to have had some kind of EVAP system or..maybe not i dunno..
