BTW: Do not clean the AFM with anything...

Did you check and made sure the O2 sensor was plugged in?? That can cause idle like that..first hand experience here

you know what kinda sucks now, for some reason it won't even start..like it starts but then dies right after. like tah dah - boom, off.....pushing on the gas while doing it doesn't help either... that seems AFM related....

You didn't run out of gas did you?...or maybe you have a bad gas gauge? I've had a supra with a very unreliable gas gauge before, the sending units in the tank can corrode and not work all the time. Also was this an all the sudden thing or gradual? Its gonna be either air or gas.. if your intercooler hoses are intact, your afm is good (which most likely it is), and your air filter isnt extremely bad...then its probably gas, in which case maybe check the fuel pump or fuel filter?
