How's it coming. Ive got a ly6 with a t56 I'm thinking of doing.
Did you make your own mounts? Any insight will help.

Not yet. Hopefully I will get the engine and tranny put in by the end of the month.

The LS engines are the best bang for your buck.
No bias in this post. Check his sig. ;)

The initial cost of an LS might be higher, but getting a 1uz up to the same power level without boost levels that playing field quite quickly...

I have done the 1uz and was unimpressed at the results. For all the work an LS motor will do more for as much or less and is a smaller package with more cubes.

I like the idea of a ls. But I can't really see anything appealing about a supra without an inline 6 turbo in the engine bay. IMO an ls engine in a soarer or sc400 is not too shabby, just not in a supra.

Then don't put an ls engine in a supra. If the 7m makes you happy then stick with it.

No nothing at all appealing about better weight distribution/handling/reliability and smile inducing performance.... :nono:

That is what I like to hear. Can't wait to see how the 5.3 performs. Test fitting trans and oil pan this weekend.

Dude... care to post some pictures in the "Other Cars" section of the forum? Please...? I would love to do this for my Chevy, but I want to try to get this thing running and not snowball on me like the Supra did haha... so, an LS might be out of the budget. I dunno yet.

Heh, even ignoring all of what you posted, that SOUND... I hated my Camaro. Utter piece of cheap 90's GM garbage. But I couldn't help but love it every time I drove it. That engine in a car as nice as a Supra? You can't do much better IMO.

You'll like it. I wouldn't mind one of the newer aluminum 5.3's and build the thing to rev upwards of about 8k... sound like an old Can-Am car.

Well the engine I am putting in is the L33 and I have already installed an almost new 02+ LS6 cam and springs and the heads are 799s which came on the C5 Z06. All I need is the lighter valves and I should be able to spin it to 7000rpms without a problem. I need to get this sucker running.
