The best speakers are the ones you can buy "raw" and build the crossovers yourself. Focal, Polydax, Morel... I've had fantastic sound with those drivers, and then usually come out half the price of the pre-packaged high end components.

Yep gotta agree here. I blew out one of my DLS UR6 woofers in the Mercedes and am replacing both sides with Morel Elate 6 SW. =) =) =)

Sonically it should match with the tweeter since DLS is based on Morel design anyway, but the Elate is just sick. I think the actual Morel Elate component set is like $2000.
