took me around 8 hrs..

first try EVER at vectoring...

I'm satisfied...

its so simple. hahah


use the pen tool to draw a line around where you want to color(you have to do each color/shade/setion individually), after you outline the area, it'll be one solid color. then open to color swatch thingy, and use the area under your pen outline(automatically saved as a 'shape' layer) for a sample color, and voila, you have a section. then repeat x1000000000000000000 and youve got a vectored picture hahah.

thats not really a vector based image though. a vector image is one that scales without any kind of distortion.

what you have done is simulated what a vector rendered image would look like, but it is not in fact a vector mapped image.

they are also stored in a different format, you can convert them to jpg or gif or what have you but the image no longer is a vector image any longer.
