I think HZ outputs a voltage of some sorts. I've put a multi meter to a knock sensor and got voltages out of it...87targa said:well the thing is, i am logging data. i get a knock voltage reading during boost. But no check engine light.
the the max knock voltage was 1.9 V. Average was 0.52 V.
I was thinking, if the knock sensors are giving out a voltage then shouldn't the ecu do something about it? Or is there a max voltage before the ecu starts to retard timing?
The car runs fine when the voltage apears.
