There is no real way to test them. I wondered the same thing some time ago and after several emails & pm's, that is what I found.

Ohming it out dose nothing for you.

If you rewired it ***correctly***. Then pick up a couple used ones from the FS section and try them out. A new one is around 200 bones or more IIRC. Also ohm out your wires just to double check. There should be no continuity from the K1 or K2 to the ground.

I also was going to buy a new one after trying several used ones and it turned out that when I rewired it I had one strand from k1 wire touching the shielding ground wire. IIRC I had around 600 ohms when I tested it so I knew something some where was grounding out. I was lucky it was k1 so it was easier to fix and get to then k2 is.
PIC.

They can't be resistance checked because unlike many knock sensors they don't have an internal shunt resistor. That said they can be roughly tested with a meter (or headphones) and properly tested with a scope.

Is there any way you could post how to test them with headphones?

Edit, just the wiring is what I'm curious about.
