Knock Sensor

Hey guys, I think I figured out why my car is boggin out and throwing a code 11. On a hunch I went to check on the Knock Sensor, and there is no wire attached to the Plug :nono: . Does anyone know what color wire is suppose to be connected into the plug? I do have a Brownish Sheilded wire that I can't figure out what it goes to, but I don't want to just slap that wire into the knock sensor.

Yeah I think brown is the right one, but I can't remember they are all taped up now. I do know it is a green connector.

yeah the connectors are still on the knock sensors, just no wires connected to them lol

Yes I said THEM, NEITHER knock sensor was connected.

haha I don't think so! But This is the problem I've been having since I bought the car. The previous owner was having the same problem. it just took me buying the car and getting fed up to finally figure it out

A disconnected knock sensor wire will cause a code 52, but not a code 11. A code 11 is a momentary interruption in power to the ECU.

Well, we got them hooked back up and no more code 11.

Yeah I don't understand it either, but the car runs great now!!!

Did you happen to remove/re-install the ground wires that attach to the intake manifold?

it actually makes alot of sense, With the knock sensors disconnected, it was throwing the ECU in safe-mode, when that safe-mode switch takes place is when it got the momentary inturruption in power supply.

No we didn't touch the ground behind the intake mani.
