There's no set time limit, and it depends on how the car sits. In a garage, a well maintainted engine will have little to no problem with the injectors sitting.

Seriously, the fuel system is no place to screw around. Don't just buy the 'omg most expensive' components - but be DAMN sure your components live up to what YOU expect out of them!
