i've been looking at body kits for my car but all of them seem to be for the 89 style front bumper and such. Will thost kits fit the same on an 87 style body or will it requir some modification?

all "ready to fit" kits will require some modification

the bumper itself should fit but you should get 89+ grills and such. Or just modify the bumper to have the pre 89 style.
