I always wanted to see this done on a MKIII ever since I saw the Gold MKIV with the RB26 or 24.
I think it's something new and it looks good on the MKIII, I like it (Plus I really Like the Skyline but cant afford it :3d_frown:)... But the nissan logo :wtf: That's a big :umno:

that car is a mutt and thats pretty much what america is in terms of everyone getting together to make something different. color and emblem dont have anything to do with the idea behind this car. i would choose the rb26 over a hick version v8.

Obviously not a fan of torque, huh? Fine with me but I think you could have chosen a better way to word your opinion ("hick"). As for the swap, I think and all-wheel drive version would have been pretty revolutionary as well.

only the gtr were awd. also the tilted engine could not be straightened out because then the shifter would point to about 2oclock and not 12. if you catch what i am saying.

better then the 7m :bigthumb:

Speaking from what ive been told from my buddies that on 32 and 33 GT-R's but youd be surprised the problems that plague (maybe apparent is a better word (with)) the RB26. They flat out said the JZ series is lightyears ahead of the RB. They looked at the bottom end of my motor and compared saying the 7M is more comparable to the RB than a JZ is. Then again im no expert, just going by what ive been told, and read.

that is sweet. end of story.

car is however not a nissan. but.. can you see putting a 2j in something freakish and putting a toyota emblem on it? i can. "powered by toyota".. "yeah, its a BLANK but its got a toyota power plant"..

just cuz were partial to supras and toyota in general doesnt change the fact that an rb is a high revving track god engine and thats what is in that car.

personally i think the nissan badge dumb and i would have left the toyota badge on there but i wouldnt call it a slap in the face.

iffy, but cool with me as a whole.

couldent have said it any better you stole the thought right out my brain.

to all the haters just keep your thoughts to yourself the rb26 is the god of the track aka godzilla and as far as the 2j i call it the king of the street:love:em both

OMGZWTFBBQ oh noes im gonna go cry like a little bitch because someone put a Nissan engine in a Toyota..

Seriously...How many people are putting Toyota motors in Nissans? Everyone and their mom wants to put a forking 1 or 2j in a 240 and everyone's gettin their panties in a wad over a RB in an mk3..

I think it's cool and unique and the Nissan badge is just lolz...Not everyone wants to put a 2jz in their car.
RB's are tilted in their normal homes and it looks like it has to be anyway for intake manifold clearance..

The engines are tilted like that because they run into oiling problems if mounted level and everything is designed around that accordingly in the car it came from hence the shifter position and piping routes.

TBCMORRIS, wow. Cool saying, but true cus it's one of the best V8's ever made. JDMMA70, i'd like to see where you got that info from - where you read it.

And FYI, I own the DVD with the RB26DETT swapped Top Secret MK4 one gold AND one white. It's called Midnight 200MPH Blast (world's top speed bandit Smokey Nagata) by JDM Option - if you wanna get it.

They have that car AND a Skyline (Japan's version of the USDM Infiniti G35) with a V8 with TWIN TURBOS (engine code VK45 - one of Nissan's V8s). They put that engine in the Skyline because the new GT-R wasn't out yet and they wanted to build one with serious power to do 300+km/200mph runs!

Same with the MK4 Supra. They figured a 3300lb rwd car with superior aerodynamics mated with the RB26's power potential and high revs could reach 200mph faster than a GT-R with AWD. And it did!

So if someone put an RB26 in an MK3, then I say cool. The motors are pretty much the same price depending on where you shop. They do rev higher than the 2JZ, so what can I say? It's Godzilla!! I thought about it myself. But the badge...that's a different story.

And I don't know why they put JZ's in 240sx's when they can put an RB25 OR 26 in their cars if it isn't about weight! But I gotta give it to anybody with the ingenuity to do it. But the badge...such disrespect to the marque IMHO.

Btw, there are different skylines. They're not all GT-R's. There are plain skylines, the gts, gts-t (with the RB25DET), and i'm sure there are others. It's been built since 1956. The first was the Hakosuka GT-R.
