After i parted out my rusted 87 supra a year ago i havent felt right
Owned mustangs, lifted trucks and my 88 alltrac(rusted but 66xxx miles and now sold to buy supra)
I never felt right and new what i had to get another supra
After months of searching i found my new love(sorry wife:biglaugh:)
1991 Toyota Supra
Turbo
White package
Auto
77xxx miles
1 owner

I was able to rescue her from a parked grave after 12 yrs of sitting
Bought from the original owner with window sticker...$29xxx dollars
77,xxx miles and all original with no wrecks
Original owner parked it because the car just scared him...almost wrecked because he didnt realize he was doing 70 mph in the 50(he's 80 yrs old)

At 1st glance i didnt know what i was getting myself into
But i did know i couldnt leave with out it
After trying to start the ole girl with 12yr old fuel i decided to use starting fluid
She ran for about 10 seconds...Best 10 seconds of my life(besides my wife and son:naughty:)
$2200 and a 20 mile drive home i began the fuel tank removal
Actually found somebody had unplugged the fuel pump :nono:
Still i had a walbro 255 sitting on the shelf and continued with removal of fuel tank to drain old fuel
Drained fuel, new pump installed, fresh gas and a few cranks with fuel pump turned off(to get oil through out the engine)
Connected fuel pump and cranked for 2 seconds
SHES ALIVE AT LAST!!!!
Took for a short spin around block and the auto trans shifts like a dream
Next day was maintenance...fluids, belts, tires, hoses, rotors, pads and calipers
Been driving ever sence 500miles a week without a lick of problem
A/c still full with r12 and works like a beauty

The day i seen her(well the day i fell in love)

List of mods:
Maft pro
Walbro 255
Custom exhaust
3in downpipe
Aem wideband
Eagle rods(not installed)
Shimmed oil pump(not installed)

As far as goals im going for a nice clean supra but with a naughty 500rwhp side and yes im sticking with auto lol
Going to see how far i can get with a hy35, 700cc injectors, BC 264 cams on stock motor
Already have a 92 gte block laying around with work completed for build....Dipped, honed, freeze plugs, oil shaft bearings, decked and painted purrrdy

Thanks
So far today I managed to continue my deep cleaning
Cleaned door seals, removed mirrors/cleaned, replaced door sensors and performed the HAC mod to my ecu

thanks
As for an update i recieved my used 3in downpipe in the mail today
Will be installing this weekend and finish up my maft pro wiring to go speed density
So far only problem im having is since im only using maft pro as a boost controller and using the TPS voltage for boost controll setup
Im hitting fuel cut when the trans shifts...boost set to 12psi and holds nice until it shifts
Also removed the front lip to reform it...owner said he would occasionaly shove stuff under the front and it would hit the lip

The paint actually took me a total of 12 hrs to bring back to life using a buffer and 3m polishing compound
Not including the little areas like around and under the spoiler, front bumper around t/s lights and grill etc
Still need to do hatch area and around targa trim

Stopped by the previous owners house over the weekend(been almost 2 months since i bought it) and gave him a ride
He told me i was always garaged except for the last 6 yrs it had set in his gravel driveway
suprised me how rust free it is with buckeye lake a short 40ft from the car

little update for the work performed over the weekend

installed my 3in downpipe, aem wideband and finished installing maft pro
yes thats right im now running speed density:)

the exhaust i have going like this:
3in dp, stock cat then straight 3in exhaust with no muffler or resonator
before with stock downpipe it sounded good but now it was way to loud
so for the time being i have installed the factory cat back exhaust til i can afford a aftermarket exhaust

as far as maftpro goes
wow it sucks lol
spent 5 hrs(literally) sitting in my supra with it running
finally after 4 1/2 hrs i realized why it ran like crap
for 1 i didnt have the afr source set to 3 for my aem wideband
then my VE table that came with the bin file was set way to low for the kpa
so after fiddling around with that i got it to idle nicely and vf signal to sit close to 2.5v(about 2.3-2.7)
before i was only able to rev 1000 rpms but now she revs nicely
still more adjustments to come since my main scale % is set at -50...seems a little much to me
but i still need to adjust VE table a lot more

If anybody has some info they want to share then feel free to on tuning with tuner pro r/t

thanks and ill keep the updates coming

Without bigger injectors or higher fuel rail pressure with a AFPR your mainscale should be ~0 and all your adjustment will be in the map. Its probably another reason why its hard to tune its only adjusting 50% of what your telling it to do. Check out Full Throttle and read the manual front to back and then again. Hell I leave mine by the crapper so I have some pages fully memorized. Theres a bunch of people running MAFT Pro and it seems to be getting more popular so help is out there. PM me if you like

You also need to make sure you get all the latest and greatest firmware, it 5.27 iirc. I have a good tuned stock bin from I was on stock fuel, 60-1, ~15psi and the motor was in the car.... LMK I can send it to you. Once you mess around with tuner pro some more you'll learn to love it.

So I finally noticed you started a build thread haha. Even though I hate to admit this, your car does look good. I am glad to see it all coming together the way you want and have been talking about forever haha.

Your still a dirty hooker though.
