Ive read that stock jdm non-vvti twins boost creep with no cat exhaust due to the lack of backpressure. how true is this, cause I was planning on going with the driftmotion aristo stock twin downpipe with a 3in exhaust the whole way. if they do would fitting a cat at the end of the DM downpipe fix that or would I have to go with a restrictor ring?

Correct. Install the ring in between the Y-pipe and the downpipe.

A good starting point is 50mm hole as a "std" restrictor.
Then you can make another one in 55mm to try how that works...and revert to the std 50mm if it did not work out.

The size of the restrictor is a bit related to how "healthy" your WG system is.
A poor system needs a tiny restrictor, A very healthy one needs none.
But usually 50mm is a good place to start, and 90% av theese installs needs a restrictor.

sorry if this is a stupid question but how would I make one to bolt between the y-pipe and downpipe. I would have been easier at the end of the down pipe because of the 2 bolt flange but the beginning of the downpipe is a bit odd-shaped. if I was gonna make one I was just going to fabricate a ring and have it welded inside so its kind of a one off.
