I still think you should try to get 11's with a cracked piston. :rofl:

Was it a ring, or the piston? (when you did 511hp.)

Not sure. He told me, but I forgot......These guys do a great job. They did my friends 7M. He ripped apart the motor completely after they were done and remeasured the bearig clearances and they were absolutly perfect and exactly the same.

Yup, new oil pump and new water pump will be installed by my self.

Hey Brent, I'm not sure whats going on with my current engine internally. All I know right now is that the compression was around 140psi on number 4 piston compared to 165 on a couple others. I'm also pretty sure the head is lifting at high boost (since I keep losing coolant along with high pressure in the system after a hard run)which is also costing me power.

HA ha. I just looked at the price sheet again. Wow talk about some mis-prints.

Ok, it was about $1000 for all the machine work, balancing and assembly. And just under $1400 dollars for the pistons, rods, bearings and mains studs. Sorry for the mis-info..

File fitting rings is a major pain, something I bet the average person does not bother to do when assembling there 7M.

I seen some EBAY package for around a 1000 bucks and wanted to know if those are the same pistons? I have to go find that auction and edit thos with that link. But do you like those pistons? I've only ran JE pistons in any engine that I've had. I had a set for an Acura block :1zhelp:

The shop said they liked the Arias pistons best because of better size conisistancies compared to some of the other forged pistons.
