I come from a land down under
Not the worst I've seen but that's up there :(

It's been starving for Oil at some stage and the Filter has been bypassing shit into the Oil system...

I don't imagine the Bearings look much better than the top end of the engine.

ya that's rust on the lobes and Ive been working on rebuilding this engine for a while my auto shop teacher neglects the fact that he needs to start buying stuff for Japaneses Vehicles so all he has is standard not a lot of metric stuff so Ive been in the hunt for some metric micrometers so i can finish this thing so it been sitting for a while now which sucks but u have to have patience when u own a supra well do you think that it would be safe to still run with this head or should i keep looking for a better one

to tell u the truth the con rod bearings look just fine and the crankshaft bearings where good too i just think it was the fact that the oil seal for the valve covers was shot but i could be wrong

I'm sorry man...look, don't waste money on "metric" mic's...there is a simple conversion to find the metric equiv to a standard measurement! Infact the tsrm gives both metric and standard #'s...why you would throw away $$$ on mic's is beyond me!?

If you need a hand on how to measure this stuff I'll be glad to help...but I do recomend getting some lessons on useing precision measuring tools!

oh I forgot to tell you how to convert...

1 American inch = 25.4 mm....SO the conversion is: American # X 25.4= metric equiv!

Example: 2.546"X25.4=64.6684mm

hahahha! dont worry man. just chillax.

back on topic, aside from the rust, the bearing and cam journals look acceptable. how much power are you looking to put down?

if anything above stock i would really consider getting that fixed.
