MKII alternator is slightly less output I think. on celicasupra.net I believe they have a MKII to MKIII alternator write up.... also I believe the belt is 2 notches less then the MKIII... but I forget.

our alternators are a weak 60amp. a lot of people are doing 80-100amp upgrades here:
