I wish it was .75 cents here. The dealers here where I am at like to sell a .50 cent part for 20 bucks. The last part I bought was the turbo to elbow exhaust gasket and it was 90 bucks!

I got my dowel pins for around $14. I took my old ones into advance auto parts and instead of paying $40 from toyota........matched them to a dodge or ford or something set and got 2. I like my hook-up :naughty:

they're seriously like $2.50 each from the dealer...

luckily when I had my flywheel machined they told me they where bent and a local dealership had em in stock. Think it's the first time I've ever walked out of the dealership so cheap (under $10)

Ian, Part number was posted up there ... 90250-08120

Yup, I just took a standard m8x1.25 die and cut threads in the dowel as far as I could go, then stacked some washers around the dowel and screwed a nut down. As the dowel pulled out, I added more washers so that I didn't have to cut more threads.

This was after I spent a week screwing around with an ill-fitting slide hammer, vice-grips, and all the other dubious ideas that I could think of! I had the same feeling after getting those dowels out that I had after getting the crank pulley bolt off.... relief! :biglaugh:

3P: Want to get me a part # please?

Are you talking about using a Die to cut an external thread on the pin for removal?

NP. The postage will be more than the pins:biglaugh:!

Hey 3P!

Do you have enough to go around? If I can't find them locally, I'll need some. Two to be exact! :biglaugh:
