I swear, every time I fix something another thing breaks on something else. I did a good over haul on my jeep got it running great and suddenly the power window regulator dies. Stupid part that costs over 200$ from the dealer just has to break suddenly. So instead of putting that 200$ towards lifting it now I get to fix something stupid lol.

I could just junkyard one, but it seems its a common problem so itll likely happen on a used part too.

Get rid of the power windows and put in manual... problem solved forever :p

Not really, they use the same method for lifting the window. Just replacing the power motor(which hasnt failed) with a hand crank.

Don't roll down the windows?

The regulator also keeps the window Up, without it the window just falls down. I found a cheap work around so hopefully it will work out. Until then my window is zipped tied up and is pretty solid.

How the fuck do you ziptie a window up? In for pics of this

The metal bracket the glass bolts to has holes in it, 2 zip ties in the holes. Push the glass all the way up, loop them through holes in the doors access panels. Stays up just fine, the access holes are thin metal so I can see them cutting through the ties at some point later on.

Not sure what pics would show cause its all hard to see behind the door sheet metal really, you can just see 2 ties poking out...
