So after my baby being dead for 5 years i finally got the done and installed. I have all new everything on the inside of the motor -eagle rodes, probe pistons, cleveits, driftmotion's uprgrade oil pump, bc stage 2 cams, obx underdrive crank pully and titan adjustible cam gears. The motor turns over and starts fine, under its own power it runs great to... however it does not like to hold an idle. I have checked and redone the timeing twice, tonight being the second and now it will hold an idle sometimes and others when i thow it in neutral it jus dies??? i have also tested all sensors on the motor ics(valve), tps, verious water temp sensors, cleaned and double checked grounds and vacume lines. ALSO this was a jdm motor so no egr and my machinest had to deck the hell out of it so i have a 2mm stopper hdg not that that matters lol... if anyone has any advice i thank you in advance.

Check your codes. Even if there is no light.

Also id take that obx crank pulley off asap unless you like ruining your front main bearings,.

Yes. It doesnt provide any dampning. Get a ati if you want an upgraded dampner.

Did you set the ign timing to 10*? Cam and crank timing good?

I sure did, i put the motor to top dead center and the at idle adjusted the cps so the motor was running 650 rpm at 10* with the service wire in and so on... lol. Im thinken it could be that crank pully, or mabey a bad injecter... ugh damn cars

Are the cams timed properly?
I recently put a motor together, and after I was positive that both cams were dead perfect, I took the cam cover off and found the intake off by a tooth.

The factory crank pulley is on, the timimg is as good as its gonna get because it seems to jump around a little like its missing but i just did a spark check and all cylinders are firing. When i say the timing is jumping around i mean it doesnt want to stay at 10* but goes back and forth from 9 to 12 and the car is very rough when it does idle. Does anyone have any ideas im abought to replace all vacume lines on the motor, its driving me crazy lol
