IC Pipes

ok, I bought a set of hardpipes a while back. the problem is the surface dull and cruddy. I was thinking about possibly painting it with hight temp paint to match my body color. would that have any negative effect on it? as in i know the pipes still dissapate heat on the way into the intake manifold.. wondering if painting it will prevent it from cooling down the air a lil more.. dunno

The air is moving so fast through the IC pipes there really is very little heat dissipation (or heat soak for that matter). Painting would not make any appreciable difference.

paint or no paint, they function the same.
You're overanalyzing it. Get them powdercoated FTW.
