I was wondering if there were any formulas out there to make a potent parts cleaner/degreaser that will clean my random metal parts while soaking in a bucket. I've been using purple power for random degreasing products but usually give up on parts that are COVERED in grime. I took the hood latch springs and throttle return spring off of my car and put them in a little cup of 100% Purple Power for like an hour or so and it cleaned them up pretty good but they were still kinda rusty and grimey. I know alot of people swear by Simple Green but I just haven't run out of Purple Power yet so I haven't bought it. :biglaugh: Is it alot better?

For some reason I feel that I'm probably going to have to invest in a pressure washer but I'd rather not if it's not necessary.

Do any of you guys have any tips for me....?

ether, scotchbrite pads and a wire brush. just have good ventilation and dont buy too much at once or the feds will be at your door searching for a meth lab. no kidding.
